A YEAR IN THE MAKING!

It all began with an idea - back in January 2020 we looked at a near-derelict property in St Patrick’s Road North and we thought ‘What if…?!’

…….what if we were to build a new Podiatry Centre, right here in the community? So after a lot of thought and discussion about how we might adapt the building, we came up with a design (ably assisted by our architect) and then spent a good while refining the design and consulting with Fylde Borough Council Planning Dept. Finally, we achieved an agreed design and planning consent followed in June 2020 in the midst of the Pandemic. Work started in the July and here we are a year and a half later having opened our sparkling new Practice in late July. The three clinic interior is purpose-built and has been designed and built from scratch. We have taken great care to consider environmental aspects of the build, the contents and on-going operational aspects. For example, the roof of the extension is constructed of recycled slate and plastic; all lights are LED-based and we recycle everything that it’s possible to do.

We opened our doors to the new premises on Wednesday 28th July and we continue to welcome all of our patients, both existing and new.

Our address is The Old Surgery, 1a St Patricks Road North, Lytham St Annes, FY8 2AY. It’s just a short step from the town centre and close to all transport links.
